Quicksand Chronicles

Volume 140

Seven more scenes involving quicksand encounters.

The Jogger_Jaded 1458

As the scene opens we see Jaded Dawn jogging along a path through the forest. There are several slow-motion, distance shots as she approaches the camera (as per the old Bay Watch series). Then she blunders into a clay bog. There is a lot of good struggling but no escape.

Pirateland Execution_Karma   1459

Karma is a visitor to PsychicWorld JungleLand. Exploring a trail she sees, but ignores, a sign that says Pirate Land - Keep Out. She is immediately captured by the head pirate and the very strange helper called Clem (both as voice roles by Fred588). They explain they do not have a ship, nor do they have an ocean, but that she will do the equivalent of walking the plank into a pit of quicksand. At the pit they follow the "rule book" which specifies they have to ask if she has any last requests. She asks if she can take her shirt off. As they ask again and again she takes off almost everything and finally asks to have her hands tied behind her back. Then she is pushed in. Her reaction is mostly disbelief and anger at the pirates but there are some hints of the mud feeling pretty good as well. This one concludes with an extremely impressive final submergence.

Scientist and Assistant   1460

Magenta plays a scientist doing field research and Hex is her rather bumbling assistant. They go to a peat bog and Hex is directed to take a sample for analysis in the lab. Needless to say, Hex manages to fall in. Then Hex manages to pull Magenta in as well. Neither really knows what to do, but very soon the unusual, rising bubbles begin to have an effect on both of them. They rather like the bubbles. In the end both go under showing no fear at all. Maybe some other scientist should examine the bubble gases for anti-anxiety properties.

Pirateland Execution_Tabitha  1461

This one is the original in the PirateLand Execution series and is a little different than most of the subsequent ones. Tabitha has been captured inside PirateLand by pirates. They don't have an ocean or a ship she can walk the plank from but they do have a pit of quicksand. Having completely forgotten the fact that its all inside PsychicWorld JungleLand, Tabitha stays in fear and pleading mode all the way and does a very good job of that. The pleading does her no good.

Prison Escape Game_Kindle  1462

Kindle, a life prisoner, accepts the offer of a chance to play the prison escape game. To win, and gain her freedom, she must survive five nights in the jungle. The accepts the offer even though she is told that of the seventy five or so who played before, one made it to the second night. Its not long before she starts hearing quite a few dangerous and hungry wild animals. She is soon relieved of her top by the foliage and shortly after blunders into a bog. She escapes from the bog, but its only a few seconds before she falls into another one. She struggles hard and for quite a while. Then she suddenly realizes she is not sinking anymore. Maybe she can stay in the bog for five days without starving to death? But then something pulls her down and almost under. And a few seconds later it pulls her under.

Shipwreck_Brittani  1463

Brittani is lost and bewilders on a jungle island. Apparently she is the only survivor of a shipwreck. She wanders around bordering on panic, then slips into a peat bog. She struggles and cries a lot but it of no avail. There were no survivors of the shipwreck.

Childhood Fears 1464

It seems Rachelle has a few phobias from her childhood, puppets, clowns, marionettes, and quicksand. She has a nightmare in which she encounters them all. When she finds the quicksand she concludes it is all a dream and she goes in, figuring the puppets and clowns will not reach her there. Things are ok for a while but then she seems stuck and everything she tries to make herself wake up are to no avail. And then a clown face appears on the surface of the quicksand. One has to hope she woke up after going under.
