Lighting and Special Effects

For shooting a night scene, the studio offers a substantial array of portable lighting. We have four stand lights, each with two 500 watt lights, three ground-level lights of 500 watts each, and one ground level light of 600 watts. The clay, peat, and "special material" pits each have 40 amps of electrical service on two separate GFI circuits.

For atmosphere we also have a dozen or so kerosene Tiki lights, some on poles and some designed for ground level use.

For other effects we have the following, although all are subject to breakdowns, as the equipment can be tempermental:

1200 watt fog machine

air compressor to make bubbles in the clay pit

several green screens

three AC powered strobe lights with slave control, for still photography at night.
