Hummingbird Trail

You are at an intersection on  an overgrown trail through a tangle of locust and staghorn sumac trees. The fruit of the sumac trees is reputed to have been used in the past to make a lemonade-like drink, and some of these trees provide support of wild grape vines. There are hummingbird feeders and humminbirds everywhere. You can hear a lot of other birds but you don't see many of them because the trail is almost completely canopied over by the trees. At night there is a constant, and loud, chirping of thousands of tiny tree frogs. This trail skirts along the north edge of a large expanse of very flat, very wet-looking ground.
