Photo Sets and Still Images

Individual Images

There are thousands of still images that have been taken in association with the videos offered by Studio 588. Many of them have been posted on this site and at quicksandfans.com, albeit in greatly reduced resolution. Any of those images may be ordered in full resolution, which ranges from 3mP to 16mP. Images will be supplied as jpg format files and may be used to make a wall poster, coffee mug, t-shirt, or whatever you like so long as it is not a commercial use.

Almost any kind of order can be handled, although the cost of preparation can be steep. Orders for a few pictures can be handled by email. You send funds via AlertPay (see the How to Order page) and we send you the jpg files. Orders can be filled on-line or on a mailed DVD-ROM by return email. Orders by mail will entail a shipping charge (see the page on how to order) and all orders will be subject to a minimum order figure of $8.00.

There are three different categories of products consisting of sets of still images: 1)Photo Shoot Sets, 2) Scene-Based or Collection Photo Sets, and 3) Theme-Based Photo Sets. Photo shoot sets are collections of images taken during a photo shoot, where getting the still images is the principal purpose and the associated video is secondary. Scene-Based Photo Sets are collections of still images taken during filming of any kind of scene other than a photo shoot. These tend to vary very widely in number and resolution because getting these images is secondary to the video and because various cameras and photographers were involved.  A collection is the same as a scene-based set except it will cover multiple scenes with something in common, such as of the das boots scenes or all of the story scenes by a particular actress. Theme-based Photo Sets are collections of images assembled from many scenes of all kinds but having some kind of common theme, which is identified in the set name.

All pictures are copyrighted but will come with a license to use the image for any non-commercial work not involving distribution to others.

 

Photo Shoot Sets

 These are collections of images, with some common theme, that have been assembled in advance and distributed as zipped directories. These can be ordered for on-line delivery or on a DVD-ROM. Each set is available in two versions; one with images reduced in resolution to 600 pixels in the longer dimension and one with all images in their original sizes. Some of the original images are as large as 4400 pixels in the longer dimension, which is more than twice the width of most computer displays.  By special order, images can be re-sized to any proportional dimensions between 600 and the full size of the originals.

The following are the photo sets currently offered or coming soon: Please note that while some sets are priced less, there is a minimum charge of $8.00 for orders paid for using AlertPay or other similar system, and there is a shipping charge for orders delivered by mail. Because photo shoot sets are a primary purpose of the sessions in which they are made, these bear product numbers that fit into the same sequence as video scenes.

Scene - Based Photo Sets

These are collections of the images taken during filming of scenes other than photo shoots. The prices shown below are for sets with the image dimensions reduced to 600 pixels in the longer dimension. However, full-sized image sets, for which the image dimensions tend to vary widely, are available at a slightly higher price  Please note, however, that because fees imposed for electronic payments consist of both a percentage and a base fee, all orders are subject to a minimum order size of $8.00. To avoid intermingling of these sets with our primary products, these sets bear product numbers beginning with 10001. These sets consist of all still pictures taken during filming. They are not filtered for the occasional out-of-focus shot, nor are the occasional vertical format shots re-oriented.

All of these scene-based photo sets are delivered as zipped directories that can be easily unzipped by any modern computer system. Depending on the number of images, the buyer's capabilities, and the buyer's preference, these can always be delivered in the same manner as our video files and can often be delivered as attachments to emails. The zipped files are not, however, all stored on our delivery server, so filling an order using that server will require an upload before the link is sent. Because the zipped files are relatively small, however, this will not usually take long.
